God really works in wonderful ways and it’s truly a blessing having met Magdalene Myanmar Mission group (M3) during the CHARIS Humanitarian Fair & Forum in June 2013. M3 is headed by Theresa G. Thank you, Theresa G and Sisters Angela and Janet for the very warm welcome!

M3 is composed of men and women geared towards helping the Canossian Sisters in their pursuit of aiding less fortunate children in homes and orphanages in Myanmar improve their level of education. They raise funds to support their educators and the upkeeping of the Canossian House and orphanages. Currently, 14 children have been adopted and living in the Cannosian House. They encourage volunteers with time and resources to join their programmes.
Theresa G was one of the panel speakers during the HFF and her story, commitment, and dedication truly inspired Pres+Ivy to do something more meaningful – we just hope it’s not too late!
We enlisted for their December mission trip to Taunggyi, Myanmar in 2013 – lots of things to do with the children like story-telling, house repainting, English lessons, balloon sculpting, face painting, and rosary beading as a livelihood project. In preparation for this mission trip, Pres and I decided to take up hair cutting lessons so we could do the children’s haircuts! We thought we’d leave the story-telling with the retiree volunteers! Story in a separate post.
Pres and I still hope we can join M3 in their other December mission trips to orphanages in Myanmar so we can spend Christmas with the children! That will be so much fun!
